Who I Am

I've always been captivated by the crossroads of technology, creativity, and human connection, long before I had the language to name them, and even longer before they became the throughline of my career. My journey started early, driven by a relentless curiosity: How do things work? What makes a story stick in the heart? And how can emerging tech change the way we communicate, teach, and move people?

I grew up in a house where the future was served right alongside dinner. My dad led teams that built the first hard drives, and in a very sci-fi-meets-suburb moment, brought home a copy of ELIZA, one of the world's first chatbots, built in the 1960's! I was ten. I spent hours poking at its programmed empathy, delighting in the illusion of conversation and testing its limits like a tiny, wide-eyed Turing. That early encounter didn't just spark my interest in machines—it planted a lifelong fascination with how technology can simulate, amplify, and sometimes even improve human connection.

With a natural draw toward movement and meaning, I pursued a B.A. and then an M.F.A. in Film & Digital Arts, specializing in animation and design. Back then, AI was still cordoned off behind walls of code and comp-sci degrees, but I kept a watchful eye from the edges, while building a career rooted in visual storytelling, motion design, and creative strategy. I became fluent in the tools of the trade—and quietly obsessed with what the next ones might make possible.

Now, the once-distant world of artificial intelligence has come hurtling into the heart of creative work—and it feels like I've been waiting for this intersection my whole life. With generative AI, I get to fuse my artistic background with emerging tech in ways that elevate, not replace, human ingenuity. Whether I'm using AI to speed up workflows, animate the impossible, or help mission-driven orgs tell stories that matter, I see it as a new kind of magic: one that empowers creators and amplifies advocacy.

As an educator, creative strategist, and digital storyteller, I help organizations harness new tools to make complex ideas clear, engaging, and actionable. I've taught in higher ed, consulted on ethical AI integration, and led award-winning campaigns for causes that matter. I believe storytelling is how we translate vision into action, and technology, when used wisely, can help us do that at scale.

As a speaker, I bring that same energy to the stage. I don't just talk about AI, creativity, or strategy, I break them open. I offer real-world use cases, unexpected "aha" moments, and a few well-placed jokes, because let's be honest: learning should be fun, not a lecture from a toaster.

So let's ask the big questions together:

  • How do we wield technology without losing our humanity?
  • How do we turn ideas into movements, and moments into momentum?

Let's challenge assumptions, remix what's possible, and leave the room with tools that make change feel doable.
